We posted a new video on our home page to welcome guests to the website and to the Door County Bakery. We've included it here, as well. Please watch and let us know what you think. And, if you haven't been able to visit, we hope the video will give you a new reason to stop by and say hello! Can a summer morning in Door County be made any better than it already is? Of course, with a visit to the DCB Cappuccino Bar. It's located right at the front entrance, and most often where you'll first see Don. He can be heard saying, "Good morning folks, would you like a cappuccino?"
For Don, creating the perfect cappuccino is part science and plenty of art. Just order one and he'll serve up the ideal beverage that's perfect in every way: foam, temperature, aroma and, of course, taste. We always have plenty of freshly brewed coffee available, if that's more to your liking. And, you'll be tempted by the usual assortment of baked goods and our full breakfast menu. We're often asked, what's the best part of our jobs. While it's hard to pick from so many rewarding aspects of owning the bakery and meeting so many friends, we'd have to say the most favorite thing is watching someone taste our famous Corsica Loaf™ for the first time.
There's nothing like seeing the expression on their faces as they enjoy the wonderful goodness of our custom french bread infused with olive oil. We use a special stone-oven baking process which incorporates our own blend of olive oils and sesame seeds. There's nothing else like it. Summer is the perfect time to enjoy your first bite. We're ready for you. Have you stopped in to see us yet this summer? If so, you've probably sensed that we're a little busy, but that's the way we like it.
Deli Counter You'll often find Don behind the Deli counter, trading stories with customers. There's so much to offer, from fresh pies and pastries to our signature Corsica Loaf™. Buy several to take home with you. Don't forget family and friends who will thank you again and again. Bakery The bakery is running on all cylinders right now. Jean and crew are running a non-stop operation. The ovens never seem to have a chance to cool off. You get an idea of the craftsmanship from the photos above. It's truly a labor of love. Restaurant We hope you can stay for breakfast or lunch. We have plenty to offer. You'll enjoy our Door County Bakery Quiche. It's made with made with Jean’s pastry crust, fresh veggies and cheese. Have a cup of dark roast coffee or a cappuccino to go with it. And there's lots more where that came from. We'll see you soon! |
