The Door County Bakery has been a fixture of Door County life for the past two decades. Tens of thousands have tasted the goodness of Donaldo and Jean Thompson's wonderful baked goods as well as our savory soups and sandwiches. We are forever grateful for the many patrons who continue to express their gratitude for all that the Door County Bakery has offered as a culinary point of destination in Door County. 

Because of a growing wholesale business with our new ​CORSICA STIX™ ​we have decided to close our retail bakery and restaurant.  However, we do accept phone orders for our CORSICA LOAF™ and CORSICA STIX™.​

The story of the CORSICA LOAF™
A marriage of French bread and our own blend of olive oils and sesame seeds

Named after the island of Corsica, this culinary classic was created by the Door County Bakery. An evolution of our European-style Stone Oven Breads™, CORSICA LOAF™ is a marriage of French bread dough with a stone-oven baking process which incorporates our own blend of olive oils and sesame seeds. 

​Our new product, The CORSICA STIX™ are derived directly from the CORSICA LOAF™. They capture all of the goodness within the LOAF™, yet are presented as deliciously double-roasted crispy bread chips! They’re absolutely great enjoyed by themselves, or as a natural accompaniment for any number of splendid hors d’oeuvres (try them with Wisconsin cheese spreads).
